I am a French citizen that moved to Ireland in 1997.  Owner of a Yorkshire Terrier and a Mixture Puddle-Terrier, I decided to take my love for dogs further.

After testing my capabilities of handling animals, I made some research on how to train as a Groomer. I contacted Jenny Hale, Licentiateship of the City & Guilds of London Institute, Member of Guild of Master Groomers. I then followed with Jenny several weeks of an intense one to one tuition.

The program was based on :

    • Correct Handling Procedures
    • Bathing Techniques
    • Drying Methods
    • Dematting and Brushing
    • Clipper Work
    • Basic Scissoring

The Theory side also did cover :

    • Main infectious Dog Diseases
    • Basic Dog Anatomy
    • Parasites
    • Equipment
    • Breeds
    • Trimming Lines
    • Correct Coat Dressing

The training completed, Jenny has delivered to me a certificate of basic grooming. The certificate is now part of the decoration of Squeaky Dog Salon, but mainly is there to remind me how I should groom safely, carefully and correctly your 4 legged companion.
